Job Description: Manage school partnerships for in-school and after-school music education programs (both private and public schools). Initiate new school partnerships. Coordinate scheduling and write Scope Of Work documents for schools. Interface with parents and teaching artists to schedule and maintain semester-long home classes. Lead outreach to parents. Place and manage teaching artists. Manage and update website (including school and home class blogs) and marketing strategies. Send monthly newsletters. Manage budget and invoicing. Organize teacher orientation and new teacher training sessions (2x yearly). Manage instrument and equipment orders. Lead community engagement.
Requirements/Qualifications: Project management experience. Direct experience managing and building professional partnerships. Talent for interfacing with parents and community. Excellent writing, speaking and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented a must. Ability to multitask. Fluency with project management software, preferable Front Desk. Proficiency with WordPress.
Preferred: Understanding of pre-K and elementary school system in NYC. Teaching experience. Basic skills in Photoshop and iMovie.
Work Hours: Part time (20-25 hours per week). Preferable if available weekday mornings. New York City based or flexible location.
Compensation: $17-25 per hour, depending on experience.
